The school is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) on a long-term basis, leading to a permanent position for the right candidate. The successful applicant will work across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, delivering whole-class lessons during teacher release time, supporting small group interventions and providing targeted support to pupils who require additional assistance. The role will be paramount in helping pupils make excellent progress whilst supporting the delivery of the school's curriculum and learning objectives.
The successful HLTA will have:
- HLTA Status or equivalent relevant qualification
- Experience supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
- Confidence delivering whole-class lessons in the absence of the class teacher
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A positive, flexible and proactive approach to supporting learning
