The school is committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every student is supported to develop independence, confidence and the skills needed to achieve their full potential. The school is looking to appoint a permanent Employability Teacher from 24th August. The successful Employability Teacher will deliver engaging employability and life skills lessons to students with a range of SEND, preparing them for further education, employment and independent living through practical, differentiated learning and high expectations.
The successful Employability Teacher will have:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Experience teaching employability, vocational or life skills within a UK SEND setting
- Experience supporting children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
- A positive, patient and flexible approach to teaching
