We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Food Technology/Child Development Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive Technology Department for a maternity cover role starting Monday 8th June. If you have a strong background in Food Technology and the relevant qualifications to teach this subject, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Teaching Food Technology to students across various year groups.
  • Providing Child Development lessons to GCSE students.
  • Delivering the occasional General Technology lessons as part of the curriculum.
  • Following a structured curriculum and ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Working closely with a friendly, supportive, and experienced technology team, who will assist you in delivering lessons and adapting to the school’s way of working.
  • Providing a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment for all students.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with experience in Food Technology, with the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
  • GCSE Child Development teaching experience is preferred.
  • Experience teaching General Technology is a plus but not a necessity.
  • A flexible and collaborative attitude to teaching, with a willingness to work closely with colleagues.
  • Strong communication skills, ensuring a positive relationship with both students and staff.
  • The ability to follow a curriculum while still bringing creativity and passion to lessons.
