Weekly PAYE: £85.50 - £90 p/d

TeacherActive is currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in secondary schools across Fishguard. This is a fantastic opportunity for caring, resilient, and adaptable education professionals looking to make a genuine difference within an inclusive school environment.
The Role:
- Provide targeted one-to-one and small-group support for pupils.
- Support learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) across the curriculum.
- Work alongside teachers to adapt learning and encourage pupil engagement.
- Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, confidence, and independence.
- Assist with interventions and personalised learning activities.
- Promote positive behaviour and help pupils overcome barriers to learning.
- Work closely with teaching staff and the wider inclusion/ALN team.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Education, or a relevant subject.
- Previous experience supporting children or young people in an educational setting.
- Experience working with pupils with ALN is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of inclusive education and individualised support.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Patient, resilient, and proactive approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
