TeacherActive is currently recruiting Level 3 Inclusion Teaching Assistants to work in secondary schools across Fishguard. This is a fantastic opportunity for caring, resilient, and adaptable education professionals looking to make a genuine difference within an inclusive school environment.
The Role
- Provide targeted one-to-one and small-group support for pupils
- Support learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) across the curriculum
- Work alongside teachers to adapt learning and encourage pupil engagement
- Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, confidence, and independence
- Assist with interventions and personalised learning activities
- Promote positive behaviour and help pupils overcome barriers to learning
- Work closely with teaching staff and the wider inclusion/ALN team
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Education, or a relevant subject
- Previous experience supporting children or young people in an educational setting
- Experience working with pupils with ALN is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of inclusive education and individualised support
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Patient, resilient, and proactive approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
