The school provides a nurturing and supportive environment for students with SEMH and additional communication needs, including non‑verbal pupils. Staff within the setting are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEND Teacher on a day‑to‑day basis. The successful SEND Teacher will be supporting primary aged students with SEMH and non‑verbal needs, delivering engaging lessons, adapting learning approaches and using positive behaviour strategies to support students throughout the school day.
Required qualifications and skills:
- QTS or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, specifically SEMH and non‑verbal needs
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- The ability to adapt learning to meet individual student needs
- A calm, patient and nurturing approach
- A proactive and adaptable attitude
