TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school in Gateshead that is seeking to appoint a dedicated PE Teacher. The school has a strong and supportive PE department and provides students with a wide range of learning experiences, encouraging participation, teamwork and a lifelong interest in physical activity.
The school is looking to recruit a PE Teacher on a long-term basis, with permanent opportunities available for the right PE Teacher. The successful PE Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4, assessing student progress and maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement within the classroom and practical learning environments.
The successful PE Teacher will have:
- QTS with a PE specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
- Experience teaching PE across KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging PE lessons
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A positive and proactive approach to teaching and learning
