FE Lecturer – GCSE English Resits Location: Solihull Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed Term (On Supply) Pay Range: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience and qualifications) Visa Sponsorship: Not available for this role TeacherActive is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established Further Education college in Solihull, seeking a dedicated FE English Lecturer to support learners with their GCSE English resits. This opportunity is ideal for a passionate and committed teacher who wants to make a real difference to students who need additional support to achieve their GCSE qualifications. Both newly qualified teachers and experienced lecturers are welcome to apply. About the Role: Deliver engaging and supportive English sessions tailored to students resitting GCSE English. Focus on building literacy skills, exam confidence, and closing learning gaps. Plan and assess effectively to track student progress and ensure success. Work collaboratively with colleagues across the college to provide inclusive and responsive teaching. Motivate and inspire learners to reach their potential and progress onto further study or employment. The Ideal Candidate: Holds a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS or equivalent). Has excellent subject knowledge in English and experience teaching GCSE resit learners (preferred but not essential). Demonstrates strong classroom management and a student-centred approach. Brings patience, creativity, and adaptability to support learners with varied educational backgrounds. Is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
