Experienced Behavioural 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Weoley Castle

Start Date: ASAP start - Feb 2026

Hours: Full-time, Term-Time Only (School Hours 8.30am-3.30pm)

A popular, welcoming and supportive primary school are looking for a dedicated Experienced Behavioural 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team on an ongoing basis from February 2026. If you’re passionate about helping children thrive, we’d love to hear from you!

About the Role

  • Support students 1:1 and in small groups who need additional support outside the classroom & within class settings depending on their needs that day
  • Work with individuals and small groups to boost confidence and progress
  • Assist the class teacher with resources, activities, and daily tasks
  • Help with playground supervision and other daily school duties
  • Maintain a positive, organised and safe learning environment
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with children, staff, and families

  • Enthusiastic, patient, and child-centred
  • A great communicator with a warm approach
  • A team player who can take initiative
  • Experienced in supporting children in an educational setting and confident in dealing with behavioural challenges
