Are you a passionate RS Teacher who can inspire students to think critically and engage with a range of religious, ethical and philosophical topics? Are you a qualified RS Teacher with QTS, or an ECT looking to begin your teaching career in a supportive secondary school? Do you have the enthusiasm to deliver engaging Religious Studies lessons while fostering an inclusive and respectful classroom environment?

The school is looking to appoint an RS Teacher on a permanent basis from September. The successful RS Teacher will teach Religious Studies across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons, promoting excellent classroom behaviour and encouraging students to develop confidence in discussing a wide range of beliefs and ethical issues.

Applications are welcomed from both experienced RS Teachers and ECTs. The successful RS Teacher will have:

  • QTS with a Religious Studies specialism (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
  • Experience teaching Religious Studies within a UK secondary school
  • Strong knowledge of the Religious Studies curriculum up to Key Stage 4
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A positive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to teaching
