The Role

  • Support the learning, development, and care of children aged 0–5 years
  • Deliver high-quality childcare in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's development
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
  • Support children's personal, social, emotional, and physical development
  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are adhered to at all times

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 early years qualification (preferred)
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A caring, enthusiastic, and professional approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team

Essential Requirements

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
  • Satisfactory references covering the last two years
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Flexibility to work in nursery settings across Essex
