TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic full SEND school in Gateshead that provides specialist education for children and young people aged 5 to 20 years with a range of additional needs. The school is committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every student is supported to develop independence, confidence and the skills needed to achieve their full potential.
The school is looking to appoint a permanent Employability Teacher from 24th August. The successful Employability Teacher will deliver engaging employability and life skills lessons to students with a range of SEND, preparing them for further education, employment and independent living through practical, differentiated learning and high expectations.
The successful Employability Teacher will have:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Experience teaching employability, vocational or life skills within a UK SEND setting
- Experience supporting children and young people with additional needs
