We are currently working with an Alternative Provision in Chesterfield (S41) who are looking to take on a Literacy intervention assistant on a temp to permanent, full time basis. In this AP, all pupils are permanently excluded and may show challenging behaviours. Pupils may have SEND.

The main purpose for this role is to provide literacy support and intervention to pupils who are disaffected and/or have behavioural, emotional, social and learning difficulties, and enable them to improve their literacy skills.

For this role you must have experience of supporting/responsibility for the delivery of a phonics programme / a wide range of literacy interventions. Please note for this role you will need to hold a full UK driving license and have business insurance OR willingness to get business insurance - for most insurance companies this can be added without a fee or with a small fee.

This role will be a full time role and the hours will be 8:30-16:20 and the actual Salary £24,763 - £26,407. You will need to have a DBS on the update service for this role - if you do not we can support you with getting one.
