Are you an enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner who would like the opportunity to join a friendly team at a fabulous nursery in York? Do you have a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years? Are you enthusiastic and committed to the development of young children?

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a warm and positive private day-nursery in Harrogate, which focuses on child engagement with a therapeutic approach. The setting looks after up to 70 children, and both indoor and outdoor areas are split into age-appropriate sections and provide sensory enhancing activities. The nursery ensures children are able to challenge themselves and take risks in a safe and secure environment.

The nursery is looking to take on a Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner, on a long-term basis with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate. You will report directly to the Nursery Manager and could be required to work across all rooms, supporting children from ages 6 weeks up to 4 years. In a time of growth for this nursery, career progression opportunities are also available for the right practitioner.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Level 3 desirable
  • Level 2 required
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Studies (EYFS) curriculum
  • ‘Can-do’ approach with the willingness to get stuck in
  • Adaptability
