TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEN school in Dudley (DY5) that provides a nurturing and supportive environment for pupils with additional learning needs. The school is committed to helping every young person develop confidence, independence and essential life skills through positive relationships and personalised support.
The school is looking to appoint a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 support to pupils with Autism / ASD, Severe Learning Difficulties / SLD and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties / PMLD, supporting their engagement with learning, communication, personal development and independence both in and out of the classroom.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

Experience supporting children or young people with ASD, SLD and PMLD

Experience providing 1:1 support in a specialist SEN setting

Knowledge of supporting pupils with communication difficulties and complex learning needs

Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

A patient, resilient and adaptable approach

A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people
