TeacherActive is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Brierley Hill that is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to delivering engaging lessons, raising attainment, and creating a positive learning environment where every child can thrive.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the full responsibilities of a classroom teacher, including:

  • Planning, preparation, assessment
  • Attendance at staff meetings, CPD sessions, and parents' evenings

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Experience working with pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, or within classes containing a wide range of abilities
  • The ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A positive and resilient approach to teaching and learning

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across the KS1 curriculum
  • Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with the National Curriculum
  • Differentiating learning to support pupils of varying abilities
  • Fostering a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
  • Monitoring and tracking pupil progress effectively
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external agencies where required
  • Attending staff meetings, CPD sessions, parents' evenings and other school events

Application Requirements

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
  • Provide two professional references, including references from recent employers
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain a new Enhanced DBS through TeacherActive
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
