TeacherActive is proud to be recruiting Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) / Early Career Teachers (ECTs) specialising in Mathematics to work on a part-time basis, with long-term and permanent opportunities available for the right candidates. We work in close partnership with a wide range of secondary schools across Cardiff, providing supportive teaching environments that are ideal for early career teachers looking to develop confidence, strengthen classroom management skills, and progress their teaching careers. Many of our Maths teaching roles are available immediately and from upcoming start dates.

The Role: NQT / ECT Maths Teacher

  • Teach Mathematics up to Key Stage 4 (KS4)
  • Plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons
  • Support pupil progress and attainment
  • Develop effective behaviour and classroom management skills
  • Work collaboratively with experienced teachers and mentors

These roles are well suited to NQTs / ECTs, with guidance and ongoing support provided throughout your placement.

Requirements Maths Teacher (NQT / ECT)

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards QTS
  • A Maths specialism
  • Experience teaching Maths during school placements or previous roles
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A positive, proactive, and adaptable approach to teaching
