TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Dewsbury area, seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school is committed to providing a supportive learning environment where every child is encouraged to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

The school is looking to appoint a Primary Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September. The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 and small group SEND support, assist with intimate care when required, and work closely with the class teacher to ensure pupils can access learning opportunities and achieve positive outcomes.

The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Experience working as a Primary Teaching Assistant within a UK primary school
  • Experience supporting children with SEND, including Autism / ASD and additional learning needs
  • Confidence providing intimate and personal care support
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A patient, caring and adaptable approach
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
