Cover Supervisor in Dewsbury

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Dewsbury, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Cover Supervisor. The school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging students to achieve their full potential while promoting respect, resilience and a passion for learning.

The school is looking to take on a Cover Supervisor on a long-term basis from September. The successful Cover Supervisor will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, managing classroom behaviour, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning and providing feedback to teaching staff following each lesson.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Experience working with secondary-aged students in a school environment

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Confidence delivering pre-set work across a range of subjects

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff

• A proactive, reliable and adaptable approach
