TeacherActive is looking to take onboard multiple staff members to assist in breakfast club and after school clubs based in various primary schools and nurseries around Derbyshire. The working hours are 7.30-9am and 3-6pm. If your skills, experience, and qualifications match those in this job overview, do not delay your application.
The role includes supervising the children, ensuring their safety at all times, engaging with them in aspects of play and conversation, setting up activities for children to optionally take part in, meet and greet parents and provide them with feedback on their child's time at the club. The successful applicant will have the ability to build great rapport with children and staff to ensure a positive atmosphere.
The successful Breakfast Club/After School Club Assistant will have:
- Experience working with children aged 5 - 11
- Excellent communication skills
- Good listening and understanding skills
- A kind and caring approach to children
- Open to travel up to 1 hour (or up to 30 min drive)
- Flexibility to cover 7.30-9am and 3-6pm
