Are you a passionate English Teacher who can inspire students across the full ability range? Do you have strong classroom management skills and experience supporting students with SEND and challenging behaviour? TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school in Dartford that is looking to appoint an English Teacher for a long-term position with the opportunity to become permanent. The school supports students from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds and prides itself on creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where all students are encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated English Teacher from September on a full-time basis. The successful English Teacher will be expected to deliver engaging lessons across the secondary age range, support students of all abilities including those with SEND, and use quality first teaching principles to maintain high standards, strong behaviour management and excellent levels of engagement within the classroom.

The successful English Teacher will have:

  • QTS
  • A BA in English, English Literature, English Language or a related subject
  • Experience teaching English within a UK secondary school setting
  • Experience supporting students with SEND and challenging behaviour
  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour management strategies
  • The ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues
