TeacherActive are looking for enthusiastic and professional Cover Supervisors for our secondary schools in St Helens.
We are looking for Cover Supervisors who have some experience working in the education sector and have great classroom management skills. The role of a cover supervisor is to deliver pre-set work in the absence of the classroom teacher. The role commands a certain level of flexibility as you may be delivering and supervising classes varying in size, ability and age.
You will be able to work full time or part time with roles ranging from daily bookings to long term assignments depending on your personal preference of working hours.
As a Cover Supervisor you will require the following:
Responsibilities
- Deliver and supervise pre-set work in the absence of the classroom teacher; manage classroom behaviour and ensure a productive learning environment.
- Deliver across a variety of subjects as required and adapt to varying class sizes, abilities and age groups.
- Maintain professional standards and effective communication with students, staff and external contacts.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain a good level of classroom behaviour
- At least 6 months experience within an educational environment
- The ability to cover a variety of subjects
- A passion for teaching and making a difference to young people s learning
