TeacherActive is proud to work with a specialist secondary SEMH provision in Stoke-on-Trent (ST2), catering for young people with Autism (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school provides a structured, nurturing environment where students are supported to re‑engage with education through a personalised and therapeutic approach, with a strong focus on emotional regulation, resilience and personal development.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and accessible PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Adapt activities to meet a wide range of abilities and needs, including Autism and SEMH‑related barriers to learning.
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and the ability to motivate and inspire learners.
Qualifications:
- QTS / QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching PE at secondary level (KS3/KS4).
- Experience working with SEMH, Autism or additional learning needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- A resilient, adaptable and patient approach.
- Ability to plan and differentiate engaging PE lessons for mixed‑ability groups.
