Role Overview
The college is looking to appoint a passionate and knowledgeable Maths Lecturer for a September start.
This temporary role offers the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate.
You will be responsible for delivering GCSE and Functional Skills Maths to learners aged 16, planning engaging lessons that inspire progression and achievement, and supporting students to overcome barriers to learning and raise attainment levels.
Responsibilities
- Deliver GCSE and Functional Skills Maths to post‑16 learners.
- Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons.
- Manage classroom effectively and engage learners.
- Support students to overcome learning barriers and prepare confidently for exams and future employment.
Qualifications
- Relevant teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent.
- Experience delivering GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths within a further education setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Maths education.
- Excellent classroom management and learner engagement skills.
- Ability to plan and deliver differentiated lessons.
- Positive, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
