TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary SEND school in Stoke who are looking to appoint a Forest School Lead. The setting is looking for a passionate and engaging individual who can empower learners through practical education and create positive outdoor learning experiences.
The school is looking to take on a Forest School Lead on a fixed-term basis from September. The successful Forest School Lead will take overall responsibility for the planning, teaching and assessment of Forest School, working with small groups and delivering 1:1 learning under the direction of the Outdoor Education Head and Deputy Headteacher.
The successful Forest School Lead will have:
- Proven experience of working with children in an educational or outdoor learning setting
- First Aid qualification, including outdoor/emergency first aid, or willingness to obtain
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in outdoor environments
- A passion for empowering learners through practical education
- Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate outdoor learning experiences
