About the Role
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Coventry that is looking to appoint a dedicated Year 3 Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and caring individual who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development within Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will work closely alongside the class teacher to support pupils academically, socially and emotionally, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.
Candidate Requirements
- A Level 2 Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or Level 2 Childcare (or above).
- Previous experience working with primary-aged children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons to a Year 3 class.
- Provide individual and small group support to pupils where required.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive classroom environment.
- Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
- Assist with classroom preparation and general learning activities.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents where appropriate.
Compliance Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Two professional references from your most recent employers.
- An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain a new Enhanced DBS through TeacherActive.
- The Right to Work in the UK.
