TeacherActive is working in partnership with a specialist land-based FE college in Northampton to recruit an Animal Care Lecturer. This opportunity is well suited to either a qualified educator or an industry professional who is looking to progress into teaching within a supportive and vocationally focused environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a combination of practical and theory-based sessions across animal care and management programmes. You will support learners in developing hands-on skills within a real working environment, whilst also contributing to their academic progression through structured classroom-based delivery. The successful candidate will play an integral role in ensuring learners gain the knowledge, confidence, and practical experience required to progress within the animal care industry or onto further study.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • A Level 3 qualification or above in Animal Care or a related subject area
  • A teaching qualification (PTTLS, DTTLS, CTTLS, PGCE/PCET)
  • Previous experience working within the animal care or land-based sector
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
