Are you a level 2 qualified carpenter? Do you have an interest in teaching young adults carpentry and joinery? Are you interested in working in a busy and thriving college environment? We are currently supporting an ‘outstanding’ college based in Solihull that are looking for a lecturer of carpentry to join their construction team. The position is temporary to begin with while they recruit for a permanent member of staff. This is an excellent opportunity to take on the role and if it’s something you settle into and enjoy then the role will become permanent. The college boasts an amazing modern campus with state of the art facilities giving you the perfect environment to teach and support your students. They have a supportive and nurturing management team in place to ensure you have everything you need to do your job effectively. This is absolutely perfect for someone with a huge passion for carpentry and eager to pass that knowledge, experience passion onto the next generation. The industry of carpentry is unfortunately an area of less interest within this generation of young adults, so it’s more important than ever for a passionate and qualified carpentry lecturer to pass on that enthusiasm and skill. To be eligible for the role you must: Have a Level 2 Qual in Carpentry Ideally have an Assessor award Be open to gaining a level 5 teaching award Be able to start within 2 weeks.
