TeacherActive is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Learning Support Assistant to work within a welcoming mainstream primary school in Torquay. You will support pupils on a one-to-one basis, in small groups and across the classroom.
The successful LSA will:
- Support the class teacher with lessons and classroom activities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group interventions
- Help pupils remain engaged and focused
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience supporting children or young people, although this is not essential
- Be patient, empathetic and adaptable
- Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
