Level 2 Nursery Practitioner in City of London

We are currently seeking a caring and enthusiastic Level 2 Nursery Practitioner to join a friendly and supportive early years setting in Westminister. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with young children and supporting their learning and development in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5.
• Assist in planning and delivering engaging, play‑based activities in line with the EYFS framework.
• Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development.
• Observe and record children’s progress and contribute to learning journals.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies at all times.

Requirements

• Level 2 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (or equivalent).
• Basic understanding of the EYFS framework.
• A caring, patient, and reliable approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Desirable (but not essential)

• Paediatric First Aid qualification.
• Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting.
