Are you an experienced Deputy Manager looking to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people? Do you have the leadership skills to support and motivate a dedicated residential care team? This welcoming setting provides a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for young people aged 8 to 18, placing a strong emphasis on promoting positive outcomes, independence and emotional well-being through a child-centred approach.
The home is looking to appoint a Deputy Manager on a long-term basis with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The successful Deputy Manager will support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home, lead and mentor the care team, ensure high standards of care are maintained, and provide support to young people with EBD, SEMH, Autism and Learning Disabilities. Day and sleep-in shifts are available.
The successful Deputy Manager will have:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards)
- Previous experience working within a children's residential setting
- Experience supporting children and young people with EBD, SEMH, Autism and Learning Disabilities
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- A child-focused approach with a positive, can-do attitude
- Flexibility to work day and sleep-in shifts
