Are you looking for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant role within a supportive primary school environment? TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic primary school based in Chesterfield, who are looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be working on a 1:1 basis with a child in Reception who has been diagnosed with Autism / ASD. The role will involve supporting the child throughout the school day from 8:30am until 3:30pm, helping with classroom engagement, communication, emotional regulation and social interaction.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Experience supporting children with Autism / ASD
  • Previous experience working within a primary school setting
  • A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
