TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school based in Derby, who are looking to appoint a Pastoral Assistant on a long-term basis. The school has a strong focus on inclusion, student wellbeing and positive behaviour support, creating a welcoming environment where students are encouraged to thrive both academically and personally.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Pastoral Assistant to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful Pastoral Assistant will be responsible for behaviour management, carrying out school patrols, and providing pastoral and emotional support to students throughout the school day. The Senior Leadership Team are committed to ensuring the successful Pastoral Assistant is supported throughout the placement.

The successful Pastoral Assistant will have:

  • Experience working with young people within a school or youth setting
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • A calm and supportive approach
