TeacherActive is currently recruiting passionate and dedicated Early Years Educators to work within a range of high-quality nursery settings across Essex. We are seeking enthusiastic childcare professionals who are committed to supporting young children's learning, development, and wellbeing within safe, nurturing, and engaging environments.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced early years practitioners looking for flexible career opportunities, as well as those seeking a new permanent position within the early years sector. Interviews will be conducted from our Chelmsford office. For candidates who are unable to attend in person, online interviews can be arranged.

The Role:

  • Supporting the learning, development, and care of children aged 0–5 years
  • Delivering high-quality childcare in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Planning and implementing engaging activities that promote children's development
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Observing, assessing, and recording children's progress
  • Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting children's personal, social, emotional, and physical development
  • Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are adhered to at all times

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (preferred)
  • Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A caring, enthusiastic, and professional approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team

Essential Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
  • Satisfactory references covering the last two years
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Flexibility to work within nursery settings across Essex
