The school is looking to take on a SEND Teaching Assistant on a long‑term basis. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supporting pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour both inside and outside of the classroom, using de‑escalation techniques, positive behaviour strategies and building strong, trusting relationships to encourage engagement in learning.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
  • Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
  • The ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations
  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
  • Experience working within a SEND or alternative provision setting
  • A patient, nurturing and proactive approach
