We are seeking a reliable and proactive Site Supervisor to take day-to-day responsibility for the safety, security and maintenance of a busy secondary school site. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the school environment is safe, clean and well maintained for pupils, staff and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the security of the school site, including opening and closing buildings, alarms and key-holding
- Carrying out routine maintenance, minor repairs and basic DIY across the site
- Monitoring contractors and managing planned maintenance works
- Supporting health & safety compliance, including fire safety checks, Legionella monitoring and record keeping
- Supervising cleaning staff and ensuring high standards of cleanliness throughout the school
- Setting up halls and rooms for assemblies, events and meetings
- Maintaining outdoor areas, including litter clearance, gritting in icy conditions and basic grounds maintenance
This role would suit someone with previous site, caretaking or facilities experience who is practical, organised and comfortable working in a school environment with flexibility to work outside normal hours when required.
