Are you a fluent Welsh speaker who enjoys helping young people learn and feel confident in school? TeacherActive is working with a welcoming Welsh‑medium secondary school in Cardiff, and they are looking for a friendly, supportive Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This is a lovely opportunity to work in a school where the Welsh language is celebrated every day, and where your support can genuinely make a difference to pupils who need a little extra help in class.
You’ll be supporting pupils during lessons, helping them stay focused, understand their work, and feel confident taking part. Some pupils may need one‑to‑one support, while others just need a bit of guidance within small groups. You won’t be expected to plan lessons or teach – just be a calm, reassuring and positive presence in the classroom.
Requirements- Are a fluent Welsh speaker
- Have experience supporting young people (in a school or similar setting)
- Are patient, kind and enjoy helping others
- Feel comfortable working with KS3 and KS4 pupils
- Can work well as part of a busy, friendly school team
- A supportive consultant who is available whenever you need
