This role is ideal for those seeking day-to-day, short-term, or ongoing work, depending on availability. The Learning Support Assistant role involves:
- Supporting pupils either one-to-one or in small groups
- Assisting the class teacher with learning activities
- Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Providing general classroom support and helping manage behaviour in line with school policies
Working hours are typically 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting
- A calm, patient, and supportive approach
- Confidence supporting learning and behaviour in the classroom
- The ability to adapt quickly to new environments and routines
- A reliable and professional attitude
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
