TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Isle of Dogs that is seeking an experienced Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and resilient teacher who can take full classroom responsibility and provide high-quality teaching and learning for a Year 2 class. The successful candidate will have experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and be confident in implementing effective behaviour management strategies to ensure all pupils can thrive.
The school is looking for a strong classroom practitioner who can build positive relationships, maintain high expectations, and create a nurturing and structured learning environment.
The successful Primary Teacher will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A minimum of 2 years' teaching experience within a primary school setting
- Experience teaching Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
- Strong knowledge and understanding of SEMH needs
- Excellent behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
- The ability to engage and inspire pupils of all abilities
- A commitment to raising attainment and supporting pupil wellbeing
Please note: Early Career Teachers (ECTs) will not be considered for this role. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years' teaching experience following qualification.
