We are seeking an enthusiastic, resilient and committed Teacher of Science to join our dedicated team from September 2026 on a permanent basis. Our school provides education for secondary‑aged learners with social, emotional and behavioural needs. The Role

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons to secondary‑aged pupils.
  • Build positive relationships with learners and support them to overcome barriers to learning.
  • Create a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external agencies to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and its commitment to improving outcomes for all learners.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience of teaching Science at secondary level.
  • Experience of working with children and young people who present with challenging behaviour or additional behavioural needs.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with learners.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Experience working within a specialist, alternative provision or behaviour setting.
  • Knowledge of trauma‑informed approaches and restorative practices.
  • Ability to teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4.
