Are you a resilient and patient SEMH Teacher with strong classroom and behaviour management skills?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with an SEMH provision based in Stockport, supporting secondary-aged pupils with additional social, emotional and mental health needs. The setting provides pupils with a supportive learning environment focused on helping them engage positively with their education and achieve their potential.
The provision is looking to take on an SEMH Teacher from October, with teachers from any subject specialism welcomed to apply. The successful SEMH Teacher will teach secondary-aged pupils, adapting lessons to individual needs while providing consistent expectations and effectively managing challenging behaviour.
The successful SEMH Teacher will have:
- QTS or a relevant teaching qualification
- Experience teaching secondary-aged pupils
- Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- The ability to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs
- A patient, resilient and flexible approach
