The school is looking to appoint a part-time temporary (British Sign Language) BSL Teaching Assistant from September. The successful BSL Teaching Assistant will support pupils with additional learning needs, using British Sign Language to aid communication, engagement and access to learning, while working closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted support throughout the school day.
Required Qualifications and Experience:- British Sign Language - BSL Level 1 or BSL Level 2 qualification
- Experience working with children or young people with additional learning needs
- Understanding of SEND and inclusive learning practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
