Are you a qualified SEND Teacher with experience supporting secondary students with PMLD and SEMH needs? Do you have the resilience, patience and creativity to deliver engaging, tailored lessons in a specialist setting? TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming SEND school in Bristol, supporting the recruitment of a dedicated SEND Teacher. The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student is encouraged to achieve their full potential through personalised learning and a supportive approach.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time SEND Teacher from September 2026 until November 2026. The successful SEND Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons to secondary-aged students with PMLD and SEMH needs, working closely with support staff to create a safe, positive and stimulating learning environment.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching students with additional needs, particularly PMLD and SEMH
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • The ability to differentiate lessons to meet a range of learning needs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive, patient and adaptable approach
