Are you a passionate SEND English teacher with experience supporting pupils with SEND, looking for a long-term opportunity to make a real difference? We are seeking a SEND English Teacher to join a supportive, pupil-centred provision in Swindon.
In this role, you will work with young people with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND). This includes Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). You will be helping them access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop essential skills in a calm, structured environment. Your expertise in English will enable pupils to engage with learning in a way that is accessible, meaningful, and motivating.
Responsibilities
- Delivering engaging, differentiated English lessons tailored to pupils’ individual needs
- Supporting pupils’ social and emotional development
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and resilience
- Contributing to a flexible, pupil-centred curriculum
- Working closely with teaching assistants and therapy professionals to maximise outcomes
The position is full-time, becoming permanent for the right person.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / ECT / NQT)
- Experience teaching English to pupils with SEND
