About the Role

As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4. Your day-to-day work will involve supporting students in the classroom, providing focused help to individuals and small groups, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. This is an incredibly rewarding role where you can directly influence young people’s confidence, progress, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students during lessons to help them engage and achieve
  • Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions when required
  • Assist learners who may have additional academic, social, emotional, or behavioural needs
  • Help teachers with classroom preparation, organisation, and resources
  • Promote positive learning attitudes and encourage resilience and independence
