This role involves working closely with students on a one-to-one and small group basis to support access to the curriculum and communication development across Early Years, Key Stage 1/KS1 and secondary age groups.

We are looking for a dedicated Communication Support Assistant to join our specialist SEND provision in Bristol, which supports children and young people with hearing impairments aged 2-16 in a bilingual learning environment.

Qualifications
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND or communication needs
  • A patient, friendly and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
  • A creative and engaging approach to learning support
  • BSL knowledge or experience supporting children with hearing impairments is desirable but not essential
