Do you have experience supporting pupils with ALN and challenging behaviour? Are you resilient, adaptable and confident managing behaviour in the classroom? Can you support learners of all abilities while promoting a positive learning environment?
These schools are committed to supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), with a strong focus on creating structured, nurturing environments where all learners can succeed. The schools are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a temporary basis, with both part time and full time opportunities available.
The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils across the classroom, including those with ALN and challenging behaviour, working 1-2-1 and in small groups to promote engagement, manage behaviour effectively, and support learning and emotional development.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Experience supporting children or young people with ALN and challenging behaviour
- A good understanding of needs such as ASD, ADHD and behavioural difficulties
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to different classroom environments
