TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist provision in Birmingham, supporting students with a range of additional needs including ASD and SEMH. The school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging students to build confidence, independence and positive relationships through tailored support and engaging learning opportunities.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be supporting secondary aged students on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping to manage behaviour, support emotional regulation and encourage engagement within the classroom.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN, ASD or SEMH needs
- A calm, patient and resilient nature
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting learning
- Experience working within a school or educational setting
