The Academy is looking to appoint a History Teacher from November on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. The successful History Teacher will teach across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, with the opportunity to contribute to Key Stage 5 / KS5 where appropriate, planning engaging lessons, assessing progress and providing high-quality feedback while contributing to the wider Humanities department.
The successful History Teacher will have:
- QTS and eligibility to teach in the UK, with ECTs also welcomed to apply
- A degree in History or a related discipline
- Experience teaching within a secondary school environment
- The ability to teach History up to Key Stage 4 / KS4, with Key Stage 5 / KS5 experience desirable
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and raising standards for all learners
