TeacherActive is proud to be working with a primary SEND school in Selly Oak that is looking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor. The school provides a supportive environment for children with additional needs, with a strong focus on safety, welfare, positive behaviour and encouraging appropriate social interactions.
The school is looking to take on a Lunchtime Supervisor on a full-time, long-term basis from September, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
The successful Lunchtime Supervisor will:
- Monitor children during lunch breaks
- Support with eating and personal care where required
- Supervise play
- Maintain positive behaviour
- Respond to incidents appropriately
- Work closely with teachers and other school staff
The successful Lunchtime Supervisor will have:
- Experience working with children, ideally within a SEND or primary school setting
- Experience supporting children with additional needs
- A positive and caring approach with strong communication skills
- The ability to maintain vigilance and ensure the safety and welfare of children
- Confidence managing behaviour and encouraging good manners and positive social interactions
- The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
